New project funding AG Schupp by the German Research Foundation (DFG) on the regulation of the cellular glucose sensor ChREBP by proline hydroxylases and hypoxia.
Dr. Wowro has obtained a 3-year project grant from the DFG. The funding will be used to investigate the regulation of the cellular glucose sensor ChREBP by proline hydroxylases and hypoxia and the associated influence on glycolytic and lipogenic signaling pathways in the liver. This project may identify novel therapeutic strategies to combat metabolic liver diseases such as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
